Privacy

At PSSI we respects our customers' rights to privacy online. We hold your detailed customer information in confidence. This statement discloses the information practices for our Web site, including what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared.

Questions regarding this statement or our practices should be directed to the pssionline.com Privacy Coordinator by email at webmaster@pssionline.com.

Notification of Changes
This privacy statement was last updated on September 20, 2001. We reserve the right to change our policy from time to time as we deem appropriate in our sole discretion.

Personal information
In general, you can visit PSSI on the Web without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. There are times, however, when we may need information from you.

You may choose to give us personal information, such as your name and address or e-mail id that may be needed, for example, to correspond with you, to process an order or to provide you with a subscription. It is our intent to let you know how we will use such information before we collect it from you on the Internet. If you tell us that you do not want us to use this information as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes.

PSSI will take all appropriate steps to keep your personal information confidential. Those steps include limiting access to customer information databases, communicating this policy statement to all PSSI employees and establishing and enforcing penalties for violating this statement. PSSI will not sell, rent, or give away our customers' personal information to other companies for use in selling others' products or services.

We gather personal information from our customers so we can better develop our relationship with those customers. Occasionally, we seek customer comments on our products and services. These comments allow us to determine which products and services our customers should be made aware of based on their specific needs.

We will communicate with customers via e-mail or other online delivery devices only if the customer agrees to receive those communications. Customers, who believe they are receiving our communications in error or no longer desire to receive them, should inform us and we will remove those customers' names from our mailing lists. PSSI will be judicious in the use of e-mail and paper mail to communicate with customers. We will, at all times, put ourselves in the place of the recipients of our mail and treat our customers as we ourselves would like to be treated.

We Collect Aggregate Information – such as your IP address (a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the Internet), browser type (e.g., Netscape or Internet Explorer), and domain (e.g., "XYZ.com"). We do this in the background so it does not interrupt your cruising speed. We use this information to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our site, and to gather broad demographic information. We do not share Aggregate Information with any third parties. None of this information is connected with Personally Identifiable Information. So, when you enter our site, you are anonymous and will remain that way unless you choose otherwise.

Cookies, web beacons and other technologies
PSSI currently does not use "cookies" or any of the other technologies to collect anonymous information from visits to our site. We do count the number of visits to our site.

Links to Other Sites
The PSSI sites contain links to other Web sites. PSSI is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. This includes links to partners that may use our logo as part of an agreement with us. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information. These other sites are not subject to our privacy policy and we are not responsible for the privacy policies for these other sites, nor for the use of any information that these sites may collect.

Subpoenas and Law Enforcement Agencies
We reserve the right to cooperate with government and law enforcement agencies engaged in investigations of activities that are, or are believed to be, illegal. Further, we may share your Personally Identifiable Information with such agencies if we believe that a crime or any act that endangers the health and safety of others may have been or may be committed. We may also share your Personally Identifiable Information in response to an appropriate subpoena.

Children's data
While nothing in PSSI's Web site is directed towards children, we are committed to comply with applicable laws and requirements, such as the United States’ Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Security of Private Information
Any personal information you give us is kept in secure files. Access is limited to the few employees who have a need to know. We currently use the secure socket protocol to safeguard your information, including your credit card number, during online transactions. To protect your information once your transaction is complete, PSSI stores your information off-line. It is stored securely behind our firewall. There is no external access to this information and its internal access is strictly monitored.

For your protection, never put your credit card number or other sensitive information in unencrypted e-mail. In the extremely unlikely event that we ever do suspect a customer's credit card number has been intercepted, we will immediately notify the customer.

We would like to tell you that your information is as safe with us as it is in your head, but, as hackers have proved worldwide, no computer security system is entirely foolproof. The most any web site can do is make reasonable efforts, which is what we do at PSSI, to protect your information from theft, misuse and alteration.

Deleting or Modifying Your Information
If you've given us personally identifiable information in the past and then have second thoughts or want to update it, please contact us at the link given below. Although it is not always possible to remove or modify information in the databases, we will make reasonable efforts to do so.

Contact Us
If you have any questions about this privacy statement, the practices of this site, or your dealings with PSSI, please contact our Webmaster. On every page at pssionline.com there is a link to a "feedback" email form so you can comment, complaint, make suggestions, and ask questions. Your email address is required on this form so we can answer your questions, and we want your name, too, so we can address our answer in a mannerly way. We may also track your browser type and referring URL to better diagnose technical issues you may be having. We do not share this information with third parties and we will use it only to answer your correspondence.
